SECRETS OF THE LAST GLACIERS is a three hour, Hi-Def adventure science series with a planned release in 2005.

Narrated by a major star, the series will feature the team's expeditions to:

Episode #1: Gellandandong, central Tibet
Episode #2: Tasman Glacier, New Zealand
Episode #3: Cordillera Darwin, Chile

But Secrets of the Last Glaciers is much more than a record of three science expeditions. Each episode will weave together several stories:

  • We'll experience the challenges of the expedition itself - these are among the world's most remote places.

  • We'll live the adventure through the eyes and ears of the young undergrad or grad students who are part of the team (for most, this will be their first expedition).

  • We'll reveal the unique stories of the regions we're exploring – as well as the climatic forces which have surrounded them for hundreds of years. Woven into this strand will be a strong "human history thread”… in which Paul (or another expedition member) would return to the region in question to visit the people whose ancestors had been affected by the changing environment.

  • And hard science - secrets revealed by the last glaciers. This somewhat briefer component would rely heavily on high quality computer graphics to bring this work to life for the viewing audience.
